This series was born in the height of covid when I was unemployed for a substantial period of time when I was done with university. The Tale of Kore was the first book written in this series, and it is written to be a standalone. Then, frustratingly, I realized Corey was not my main character, but Hades. What then follows is a series written out of order. With that comes a little bit of complication, but below is the suggested reading order only in terms of the actual timeline of the series in chronological order.

Reading The Tale of Kore first does not change any understanding of The Rise of Haduwas, and the same is true of the inverse. They read like very different books--because they are. One is a historical epic fantasy, and the other, a dark academia portal fantasy in the modern world. The Solitude of Hades will bridge that gap for a more seamless reading experience, but if you arrive at this series before it has been published, what you get is the story in bits and fragments that you get to get to puzzle together, (sort of like how found stories actually present themselves.) Whichever you choose to be your entry point, it will give you context into the other works.

*(I do recommend only reading the .5 short stories after the preceding novels, however. They are directly related to them. 1.5 goes with 1, and 2.5 goes with 2 etc.)
